ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Unit Commander

  • Work in conjunction with subunit commanders in all aspects of the unit.

Platoon Commander

  • Plan and develop weekly operations and orders with unit command group.
  • Lead SubUnit on weekly operations.
  • Create and publish Pl Frag O’s NLT three days prior to ops.
  • Plan, develop orders for, and lead SubUnit on weekly training while coordinating with other SubUnits.

Platoon 2IC

  • Manage Casualty Collection Points, Pl Admin and Pl AdReps,
  • Monitor the platoon on the unit tracking sheet and appraise Unit Command Group of changes required.
  • Assist Section 2IC’s for troubleshooting member’s technical issues(Mod Pack, TeamSpeak, XML etc).

FOO/FAC(JTAC)

  • Coordinate air support as required from the Pl Commander and Pl 2IC.
  • Coordinate air support and artillery/mortars in order to keep the airspace clear for munitions.
  • Coordinate with squadron commander to keep up to date on Reports and Returns as well as squadron SOP’s.

Platoon Medic

  • Maintain unit medical SOP’s.
  • Train unit members on medical SOP’s
  • Manage patient treatment and priority within Pl Casualty Collection Point.
  • Keep Pl 2IC informed on patient status throughout treatment and MedEvac

TCCC

  • Assist Platoon medic in treating casualties in CCP
  • Treat fellow Section members with proper medical care

Section Commander

  • Plan Section and Platoon level training with the Platoon Commander.
  • Conduct Section level training, and lead section throughout Platoon level training.
  • Lead section during weekly operations.

Section 2IC

  • Troubleshoot member’s technical issues(Mod Pack, TeamSpeak, XML etc).
  • Monitor the section on the unit tracking sheet and appraise Platoon 2IC of changes required.

Rifle/M203

  • Remain flexible and react to ever changing situations.

LMG

  • Remain flexible and react to ever changing situations.
  • Be prepared to be moved from section to support weapons to provide firebase/overwatch positions.

Support Weapons

  • On order from the Pl Commander the Weapons Det Commander will:
    • Support platoon movements and assaults with firebase, overwatch or cut off positions; and
    • Support platoon securing of objectives with overwatch or strongpoint positions.

Mortar

  • Select and prepare and operate mortar positions:
    • Defendable with minimal personnel; and
    • Ensure that positions have access for resupply and extraction.

Pathfinder Commander

  • Plan and develop weekly operations and orders with unit command group.
  • Lead SubUnit on weekly and mid week operations.
  • Create and publish Pathfinder Frag O’s NLT three days prior to weekly ops, and one day prior to midweek ops.
  • Create and publish SALUTE within 24 hours of completing midweek ops.
  • Plan, develop orders for, and lead SubUnit on weekly training while coordinating with other SubUnits.

Pathfinder

  • Maintain a highly level of training and proficiency to properly embody the units they represent
  • Attend midweek recon ops as needed
  • Assist in gathering intel required for the proper production of an informative SALUTE
  • Maintain the highest level of maturity

Squadron Commander

  • Plan and develop weekly operations and orders with unit command group.
  • Lead SubUnit on weekly operations.
  • Create and publish Pl Frag O’s NLT three days prior to ops.
  • Plan, develop orders for, and lead SubUnit on weekly training. Coordinating with other SubUnits as required to support their training objectives.
  • Create and maintain squadron SOP’s.
  • Coordinate with FOO/FAC(JTAC) to create Reports and Returns and keep FOO/FAC(JTAC) appraised on squadron SOP’s.

Pilot

  • Maintain competence in flying all unit airframes that they are authorized to operate.
  • Attend midweek recon ops as needed
  • Maintain the highest level of maturity
